MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES
The main morphological characteristics that differentiate franciscanas from other dolphins are the rostrum (“beak”), markedly long and thin, with more than 200 teeth; the dorsal fin, small and almost triangular; and its color, which can vary between shades of brown, gray and yellow. The weight reaches 33 kg for females and 27 kg for males.
